Oil Painting on Canvas of Lotus Flowers
Item Details
An oil on canvas painting depicting a bouquet of white lotus flowers placed in a contrasting dark gray bulbous vase. It presents in a giltwood frame with a beaded fillet. The canvas is stretched across a wood frame held together by large metal brackets that read ‘PAT Feb 13, 1883, June 16th 1885’. The piece is then mounted in the giltwood frame with brass brackets. The verso of the frame features illegible writing in pencil.
Condition
- to fair; there is age consistent wear and some staining to the verso of the frame and canvas.
