Circa 1960s Beatles Related Scrapbooks and Posters
Item Details
A collection of three circa 1960s fan-made scrapbooks filled with Beatles-related magazine clippings and paper ephemera. Many of the clippings and pin-up images originate from periodicals such as 16 and Teen Set. The scrapbooks also include three ‘Teen Set Poster Spectacular’ double-sided black-and-white posters featuring members of The Beatles, The Monkees and The Jimi Hendrix Experience; these include John Lennon/Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison/Davy Jones and Ringo Starr/Micky Dolenz.
Condition
- posters are creased and worn with age; overall wear to scrapbooks, covers, bindings and pages; some images are cut-out and many are faded; toning and foxing to paper; rough and torn edges throughout; adhesive and staining present to some items; some cut-outs are not fully secured to scrapbook pages.
