An artwork using oil paint on canvas of St. Mark’s Square, by an artist signing the work ‘E. Martino,’ likely a contemporary Italian artist called Evangelista Martino. This piece, captured in large, loose marks, depicts the square as seen during the day, with the domed basilica standing proudly toward the center of the scene. This piece is signed in red toward the lower right and is presented in a wooden frame with an ivory liner and a wire to the verso for hanging.
