A watercolor painting on paper of a winter countryside by artist M. Dalrymple. This Impressionist painting depicts a wooden lodge featuring an outhouse and smoking chimney tucked at the top of an angled hill covered in snowfall, a pathway of which wraps to the foreground. To the bottom of an autumnal cluster of grass towards the lower portion of the composition is an artist signature. The painting is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a silver tone metal frame. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and typed informational tag.
Condition
- slight discoloration to the mat; discoloration and wear to the verso; scratching to the frame throughout; staining to lower right corner of backing board.
