Chinese Carved and Painted Bone Pagoda

Item Details

An intricate Chinese inlaid and carved bone statue. This depicts an elaborate pagoda, with a kneeling figure before a statue of a female deity in a hexagonal pierced gallery. This rises on a stepped tapering base with painting panels alternating with panels in shallow relief depicting dragons, foliates, and figures. No discernible maker’s mark was found.
