A pair of hand cut paper silhouettes of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. These black paper silhouettes depict the former president and first lady facing towards each other in oval-windowed mats. Labels to the versos state the subject and that it was hand cut. They are each presented behind a double mat and glass in wood frames with eyelet hooks for hanging.
Condition
- stains & toning on silhouette paper & underneath the glass; foxing and stains to backing mats; bottom right edge of Abe’s shirt looks to be detached from the rest of the silhouette; some edge wear to frames; tears in backing paper.
