An original watercolor painting on paper by contemporary American artist Mona Royer (Virginia). The painting depicts a deeply-saturated, washed depiction of an island landscape. Vivid green hills rise above a blue body of water, the hilltops fading into the hazy clouds above. The painting is signed in graphite to the lower left. It is matted in white and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brushed gold tone and brown finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso. A handwritten note to the verso reads: ‘Reminds me of the Black Sand Beach in Hawaii (Big Island)’. The artist’s website can be found below under Additional Information.
