Danbury Mint 1950s Mobil Service Station Display
Item Details
A Danbury Mint display depicting a 1950s-era Mobil service station. This 1:24-scale wood and plastic model depicts a pair of gas pumps and a ‘Mobilgas Socony-Vacuum’ sign on a flat surface in front of a white service station with a red flying horse logo, marked ‘Mobilgas’ and ‘Mobilubrication’. The building has a removable roof and features interior detail such as period signs and posters, a rack of spare tires, an open toolbox, and even a stack of ‘Map of the Southwest’ brochures on the desk in the office. A label on the underside of the base reads ‘Mobile Service Station Display / The Danbury Mint / ’Mobiloil’ and all other marks indicated with ® are registered trademarks They and other Mobil trademarks are used by permission of ExxonMobil / © MBI’.
