Offset Lithographs After Francine Van Hove Sketches

Item Details

In Plate

A pair of offset lithographs after sketches by contemporary French painter Francine Van Hove (1942– ). Both pieces depict a topless or nearly topless young woman in an intimate setting, her hair pulled back in an improvised bun and her back to the viewer. In one image, the woman leans backwards with her elbows on a tabletop, her head tilted to one side as if to stretch her neck; in the other, she leans forward over the table, her face visible in profile as she holds a bowl in both hands. Both pieces are signed ‘Van Hove’ in plate and are presented under acrylic glass in silver tone metal frames with hanging wire.
