A Chinese floral watercolor painting on silk. The piece depicts yellow roses with green leaves set against a tan silk background. The work is signed with black calligraphy and a red seal to the top margin. It is matted in mottled green and presented under glass in a bamboo-motif wooden frame with hanging wire attached in a vertical orientation to the verso.

Condition

- toning to silk and matting, with some stains present to matte; painting is loose inside frame; large areas of chipping to frame along right side, top right and lower left; cracks and wear to remainder of frame finish; tape residue to frame backing.
