Zuni Native American-Inspired Carved Agate Bear Fetish

Item Details

A Native American-inspired carved agate bear fetish figure, similar in style to those made by the Zuni Pueblo people. The piece depicts a standing bear in side profile, rendered in dark red agate and accented with natural lines and circles in yellow, cream and brown. The figure includes a carved pink agate projectile point wrapped to the top of its back with wound sinew. The piece rests on an elliptical agate base signed ‘H’ with incised markings to the underside.
