Vintage Italian and Spanish Decorative Plates
Item Details
A set of earthenware hand painted plates. The pieces were produced in Italy and Spain. The featured pieces are painted landscapes in puce made in a Maiolica body with tin in the glaze. There are four small pieces and two large plates, one depicting a toreador. Handwritten marks reading ‘Italy’ can be found on the puce examples.
