Item Details
An oil painting on canvas titled The Woman I Love by New York based artist Jerome Witkin (b.1939), dated 1974. This painting depicts a woman reclining on a brown couch and resting her head in her hand while a plant obstructs her view. The painting is presented in a gold tone wood frame with a hanging wire and a Kraushaar Galleries decal present to the verso. The stretchers are marked with the title of the piece, the date and the name of the artist in black ink. Witkin studied at Skowhegan School of Painting and is best known for his narrative paintings.
Condition
- light wear to frame finish; a few dents along bottom portion, all only visible from the verso.
