Item Details
A Baluch tribal war rug. This wool rug features an abrashed, deep midnight blue field populated with crisp depictions of helicopters, warplanes, tanks, rifles, and explosive devices. The palette is wide-ranging, featuring high-contrast ochre, aqua, cerulean, fuchsia, and ivory amid darker browns, greens, and camel. Selvedges are double overcast; top and bottom finish with short kilim skirts and twisted ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
