Carnival Masks Including Otto Bassano Tarot Card Mask
Item Details
A pair of carnival masks with an Otto Bassano tarot card mask. Made in Italy for the pre-Lenten festival of Carnival, these masks are mounted on black, gold, and white turned wood handles. The cream colored Venetian mask by Bassano has gold tone trim around the eyes and lips and is adorned with a tarot card motif with a tag listing the maker. The white piece is a partial mask with black and gold tone decorations, edged with blue and gold cord.
Condition
- masks would benefit from thorough cleaning.
