Sid Burns 1975 Bronze Sculpture "Banditos"

A 1975 bronze sculpture titled Banditos by Sid Burns (1916 – 1979). Burns, who was born in Oklahoma, resided in Arizona for much of his life and was a self-taught artist who began sculpting at the age of 50. The work depicts two outlaws on horseback with a horse carrying their provisions trailing behind them. The piece is signed by Sid Burns, titled Banditos, dated 1975 and numbered 10 of 15 to its base. The work is presented on a wooden base with an engraved brass plaque which reads ‘Sid Burns Banditos 1975’.
