An oil painting on canvas, titled Zapatistas, by artist F. Casanova. This painting depicts a band of travelers walking through a dark valley beneath a lush, dry-brushed tree, with a vast mountainscape to the distance. Found to the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature and date, listed 1970, as well as the inscription ‘Mex.D.F.’. The painting is presented in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Also handwritten to the verso is various information regarding the title and artist.
