A Chippendale style mahogany executive’s desk. The frame features a rectangular top with three chocolate-brown leather panels, each of which is decorated with gold tone patterning around the edges. Directly below the top is a central, machine-dovetailed drawer over an open leg compartment flanked on each side by two stacked drawers. The cockbeaded and figured fronts are fitted with brass tone handles and pierced backplates. The desk is further embellished with fluted, quarter-columns and it rises on cabriole legs with acanthus-carved knees and ball-and-claw feet.
