A 1977 bronze sculpture titled As Dust Before Him by Sid Burns (1916 – 1979). Known for his American Indian and Western-related subject matter, the work depicts a Medicine Man holding up a ceremonial pipe in humility to the Great Spirit. The piece is dated 1977, numbered 9 of 24, signed Sid Burns and titled As Dust Before Him to the top of its base. ‘JHM Classic Bronze’ is inscribed to the lower rim of the work.
