An oil painting on canvas of a pastoral landscape. This work features a large pond in the middle-ground surrounded by sloping terrains filled with foliage, trees, boulders, and wandering livestock. A faint mountain range is visible in the background underneath an overcast sky. No signature was found on the work; the stretched canvas remains unframed. The stretcher is backed with foam board.

Condition

- signs of large areas of in-painting scattered throughout entire painting; black edge lining present along edge, and is peeling/detaching in some areas; canvas has been relined with wax; craquelure throughout; some paint loss scattered throughout edges; some spot stains scattered throughout, especially visible along edges of sky.
