A signed limited edition offset lithograph by well-listed and renowned American wildlife artist and naturalist, John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati; born 1924), titled Shawnee. This print, one of Ruthven’s few pieces of work featuring a human subject, depicts a Shawnee brave wielding a rifle next to a downed fowl, draped in a bear pelt and creeping across a flat boulder as he hunts. Artist signature is signed in plate and in pencil to the lower right. The print is numbered 2641/3000 to the lower left; mounted beneath dual layers of coordinating matting and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a natural stained finish, equipped to hang.
