Offset Lithographs After Maurice Sand of Commedia dell'Arte Characters

A set of four offset lithographs on paper titled Colombine, Corallina, Arlequine, and La Ballerina after illustrations by Maurice Sand, pseudonym of French artist Maurice Dudevant (1823–1889). Each plate is a depiction of an archetypal character from the Italian style of comedy, Commedia dell’Arte, wearing Victorian-era dress. Each woman’s respective character name is inscribed below her depiction. All four are matted together in one gold tone frame behind glass with a small sawtooth bracket for hanging.
Condition
- some edge wear to frame and scratches to verso.
