An offset lithograph after a painting, titled The Boy Bacchus, by listed Baroque painter Guido Reni (1575-1642). This work depicts the young Roman god of winemaking with a tray in his hands, a glass bowl of white wine balanced in the middle, and a fruit-laden grapevine headdress. He is joined by a companion carrying a decorated jug, and both figures gaze out, grinning, at the viewer. This print does not have a signature, and is presented behind UV-blocking glass in a relief-patterned frame with a wire for hanging.
Condition
- wear and scratching to frame; some tarnishing to frame, appears to be intentional.
