1960s S. L. Allen Yankee Clipper Snow Sled

A 1960s-era Yankee Clipper snow sled by S. L. Allen & Company. This sled has a red metal frame with a wooden platform and a wooden steering bar. The top of the sled is marked “Yankee Clipper” with an image of an airplane, and the underside is marked “No. 13 M Yankee Clipper” and “Made in U.S.A. by S.L. Allen & Co., Inc., Phila. Pa. Manufacturers of The Flexible Flyer Sled and Planet Jr. Farm & Garden Tools”.

Condition

- steering bar loose; steering cord missing; slight rust to metal; general wear and marks consistent with age and use; untested.
