Jo Staley Original 1990 Charcoal Drawing
Item Details
An original March, 1990 charcoal drawing on wove paper by contemporary Hungarian-American artist and jeweler Joanne (Jo) Horvath Staley (Alabama). The drawing depicts a tangle of nude figures drawn in gestural abstraction. Black linework twists across the page, flowing seamlessly from figure to figure. The drawing is signed and dated ‘3/90’ in graphite to the lower right. It is matted in white and presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame with ivory finish and a hanging wire. Condition
- paper is slightly yellowed with age. Discoloration to edges of matting. Wear and scratching to frame.
