Circa 1900 Loetz Titania Glass Vase with Sterling Silver Overlay

Item Details

A fine Loetz Titania glass vase with flora motif sterling silver overlay and a pinched shoulder. The vase is phanomen glass with rich emerald and blue colors made around the turn of the century in Austria. The dazzling color sparkles with a lustrous glimmer. The sterling overlay appears in the art nouveau style with intertwined linear patters and a floral top register just below the scalloped rim which also features sterling. To the bottom line of silver is an impressed ‘Sterling’ mark and the Loetz ‘L.’ Incised to the bottom of the vase is the letter ‘L.’
