An oil painting on canvas by listed artist Jovan Obican (1918 – 1986), titled Three Musicians on a Donkey. This painting depicts three stylized performers comically clustered atop a donkey with straw in its mouth, attempting to play various wind instruments. The composition is rendered with a textured application of cool and pastel tones, as the forms are reinforced with thick black outlined brush strokes. To the lower left corner of the composition is an artist signature. The painting is presented in a black wooden frame with hanging wire and a typed tag from Greer Gallery to the verso.
