19th Century Hand Painted Sevres Style Porcelain Sewing Box

A beautiful 19th century oval Sevres style porcelain sewing box featuring French countryside with figure genre scenes hand painted to the lid and around the sides in a colorful palette with blue and gold trim. The lid is hinged with decorative gold tone ormolu beaded trim, has a hinged clasp and sits on pierced scrolled feet. Inside a velvet covered tray holds dainty sewing scissor and needle case implements and the beige fabric lining is trimmed with fine corded trim. The small implements inside test as 800 silver and have a light gold wash, the needle case has a French eagle head hallmark. The box is unmarked. The three implements weigh 0.22 ozt which includes the weight of the non silver elements.
