Davis Cabinet Company Solid Burnished Cherry Chest of Drawers Dated July, 1963

Item Details

A solid cherry chest of drawers by the Davis Cabinet Company of Tennessee. The chest, in the Chippendale style, retains it original manufacturer’s tag and a date stamp indicating it was made in July of 1963.The design mimics an antique chest-on-chest. The upper portion features three machine cut dovetailed drawers with wooden pulls. The lower portion has two deeper dovetailed drawers with matching pulls. There is dentil molding along the top, and the piece rests on bracket feet. The original tag from the Davis Cabinet Company has been retained. There are additional items from the same collection in lots 17LEX133-073, 17LEX133-082, and 17LEX133-062.
