Insect Collection in Shadow Boxes
Item Details
An insect collection in a pair of shadow boxes. Included in this collection are insects and arachnids from the Nymphalidae, Papilionidae, and Thomisidae families, and Coleoptera, Orthoptera, and Arachnida classes. Each specimen is preserved and glued to the protective glass, in wood shadow boxes. Scientific names are hand-written to the lower edge of each frame, and each frame has triangular loops to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- some wear to both frames; decay visible to the underside of several butterflies; one specimen is loose in frame.
