A hand-tufted Amelie rug made by Kaleen for Pottery Barn. This wool area rug features a major-scale garden design depicting a songbird amid a variety of blooms, including fruit tree blossoms, over an ivory field. The palette is pale gold, sapphire, rose, taupe, and ivory. Edges are overcast on all sides. The rug has a full fabric backing. Markings on the reverse include a Kaleen sticker reading ‘For child welfare’ in reference to the company’s stance against child labor in the rug industry.
