A wonderful antique Zither Autoharp made by The Chartola Co., Jersey City, NJ. This awesome piece is solid flat wood sound box with its strings stretched the entire length of the instrument. It boasts lovely stenciled highlights including a fantastic American Eagle on the top corner. The bill of sale reads that the proud new owner paid $16.50 for this Zither, made a down payment of $5.00 and was to pay $1.00 a week until the remaining $11.50 was paid! What a great story! Also included are numerous pieces of sheet music. A very nice piece.
Condition
Overall good condition with age related wear and does need some minor repairs. Please preview for best assessment of condition.
