John Melish 1820 Map of Mississippi
Item Details
An 1820 map on paper of Mississippi, John Melish (Scottish-American, 1771-1822). This print depicts the borders of the southern state from surveys from the General Land Office. Mounted under a single layer of white matting, the map is presented under glass in a black wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes is present to verso.
Condition
- minor wear to frame finish; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly. The paper is heavily yellowed. It has not been removed from the frame.
