Gertrude L. Thebaud Racing Schooner Model

Item Details

A model of the Gertrude L. Thebaud fishing and racing schooner. The original boat was built in 1930 and was known for its racing capabilities as well as its service to the US Coast Guard during WWII. This model features a black painted body with a red keel. The body of the boat is labeled ‘Gloucester, Mass.’ and ‘Gertrude L. Thebaud’. The boat also features two large masts with sales attached. The boat deck is accented with a miniature wheel, rope, and barrels. The model sits on a wood base.

Condition

- Yellowing and staining of sails. Body has been repainted. Crack on deck and rail. Some surface scratches. Will require cleaning.
