Item Details
A late 19th century Victorian Aesthetic Movement secretary desk. The walnut case features a carved cornice, with a patterned fabric panel to the overhang, above a beveled mirror and three upper shelves. The body has a drop front with a felted writing surface and a fitted interior with relief-carved floral designs to the exterior. To the right of the drop front is a small door with a beveled mirror above two small, stacked drawers. Below the drop front is an open shelf space, with a relief-carved door to the right. The door opens to vertical partitions and the whole desk rises on straight side panels.
