Item Details
A series of five comical fishing prints after hand colored etchings by British artist Thomas McLean (1788-1875). Each of the five prints depicts a humorous caricature of the mishaps of Victorian era fishing. Included are the prints Smiling Showers or Ducks in Delight, Taking a Fly, Digging For Bait, Patience in a Punt, and A Sharp Bite. All prints are attributed to Thomas McLean in-plate at lower center. They are presented matted under glass with brown wooden frames.
