A drawing on paper with penmanship by Burt Plummer, executed May 1, 1898 in Elwood, Indiana. Depicted is a central, stylized bird with a flowing ribbon clasped between its beak. A small landscape scene takes places in the small space between the ribbon and bird. The ribbon is inscribed with text that details the artist, city and date. A sea of flora encompasses the bird. Presented with a gold-toned mat, under glass, housed in a ebonized wood frame with brass ormolu to the corners.
