Item Details
An antique map, circa 1892, of New York City, titled New Map of New York City, which is marked at the bottom, ‘This map is presented with the compliments of the Broadway Central Hotel, by far the Largest and Most Complete Hotel Property in New York…’ The map is also marked at bottom center, ‘Tilly Haynes, Proprietor.’ The map legend gives symbols for elevated railroads, Broadway cable and 5th Avenue surface roads, street car lines and railroads. The map covers an area from Croton Reservoir and Great Mill Rock at the top, to the Statue of Liberty and Governor’s Island at the bottom. The map is permanently affixed to a red cloth backer board.

- corners and edges of map are torn or chipped
- yellowing to paper
