A 1970 limited edition lithograph poster on paper after a 1969 painting by well-listed Spanish-French artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). The piece, titled Malborough: Galleria d’Arte Roma, is a poster for a 1969 exhibit at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome. It depicts a surrealist portrait of a male figure, utilizing a palette of blue, purple, grey, red and black. The image is signed in plate to the lower left and numbered in graphite to the lower right as 196 out of an edition of 650. It is additionally dated ‘3.1.69’ in plate to the top left; it includes the work title, gallery name and a Picasso facsimile signature in plate to the lower border. The print is presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame with hanging wire to the verso.
