Rare Antique Ringling Bros. Circus Poster Printed by Strobridge

Item Details

An rare original antique color lithographic advertising poster created for the Ringling Brothers Circus. The image depicts a ferocious-looking hippopotamus with mouth open wide and a calmer rhinoceros behind eating grass. The copy reads ‘Ringling Bros World’s Biggest Menagerie’. This poster was printed in 1916 by the Strobridge Litho Co. of Cincinnati and New York as shown to the bottom right corner. The poster is presented in an off-white mat, under glass and in a black bamboo style frame with red accent. The framing was by Fabulous Frames & Art of Cincinnati using museum glass.
