Inuit Carved Whale Bone and Stone Figurines

A pairing of Inuit carved whale bone and stone figurines. The standing figure is carved from gray fossilized whale bone, with a carved antler face having inlaid black baleen accents. The figure stands on a sliced bone base, signed “GS” to the bottom. The small penguin figurine is carved from a mottled red and brown jasper stone. Unmarked by the maker.

to Fair – the standing figure is separated from the base.
