An oil painting on canvas of a Parisian street scene by John Hanson. Composed in shades of blue and lilac, it depicts a street scene in Paris from the late 19th century with a couple on the sidewalk and horse-drawn carriages in the street and the Arc de Triomphe shown in the distance. The painting is signed by the artist to the lower left and it is mounted in an elaborate gilded wood frame with applied gesso decoration. A scroll work wrought iron display easel is included and the painting is also wired for hanging. A seal to the verso reads ‘Home Galleries, Inc. OIl Certified’.
