The painting depicts a view of a fisherman in a sailboat as seen from a slight distance, as well as a portrait of the fisherman, pipe in mouth and net in hand. The illustration is marked to the lower left in pencil, ’Aquarelle originale du livre ’_Histoire de St. Martin’ page 57’ and as well as being signed and dated ‘1988.’ This work is presented on a mat behind plastic and is not framed.
