A hand thrown and sgraffito carved vessel by Dena Johnson, Navajo. The lovely vessel has a slip decoration over the red stoneware in shades of steel green-grey, taupe, pale mint green, deeper green and white, having abstract sgraffito-carved design throughout. Signed ‘Dena J’ to the underside. Also included is a sgraffito carved vessel marked ‘dsa, Acoma’, having a pale blue slip over the red stoneware clay, with a pattern of feathers and geometric elements.
