An oil painting on canvas of a seascape by Hungarian-American artist Lester Chaney (1907-1998). This work features waves rippling throughout the sea, highlighted with oranges and pinks from the sky. The painting is signed ‘L. Chaney’ to the lower right. It is presented in a gold-tone wood frame with a convex liner.

- craquelure throughout; small spot of paint loss present near upper left edge of composition; purple marks present in upper right area of composition; flaking, scratches, and stains throughout frame; stains throughout canvas verso.
