A Cedar Mesa Pottery Desert Rainbow Navajo vase. This chimney vase from the Desert Rainbow line of pottery features a scene from Monument Valley, Utah. This hand painted vase portrays the mountains, landscape, and skyline, in great detail by using sgraffito highlights on the mountains, cacti and lightning pictured. Below this scenic portrayal are geometric black designs that strikingly stick out against a white background. The backside of this vase is marked ‘Julia Navajo’.
