Item Details
An original 1943 oil painting on canvas by well-listed American rural landscape painter Stella Coler (1892 – 1992), titled Farmhouse Landscape. The painting depicts a barn and farmhouse standing prominently in a fenced field surrounded by tall leafy trees. The painting is signed and dated in black to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with stripes of olive green and gold-tone finishes. A hanging wire is attached to the piece’s verso, along with a gallery tag from the 1943 Indiana Artists Club Twelfth Annual Exhibition that gives the piece’s title.
