Antique Winsted Silver Plate Co. Pickle Castor

Item Details

An antique Victorian silver plated pickle castor with a glass jar, marked ‘Winsted Silver Plate Co.’ The castor has a round base with short, pierced legs, and a tall, pierced handle at the top. The clear glass jar is round, with raised squares around the sides, and is topped with a round, domed silver plated lid with a tall pierced knob. The castor comes with a pair of ornate tongs featuring avian-style claw tips and flowers and hangs from a hook on the side of the castor.
