1800s Hand Crank Corn Sheller

An 1800s corn sheller. The antique corn sheller features cast iron and wood construction. The wood is painted a red color that has an aged patina. Remnants of hand-painted decoration can be faintly seen on the wooden body. The piece is powered by a hand crank. The piece was originally used to removed corn kernels from dried ears of corn to be used as livestock feed.
