An etching on paper after a painting by Peter Paul Rubens (1577 – 1640). This work is titled The Conversion of St. Paul and depicts the apostle Paul on the road to Damascus. It is not signed but is marked in plate with the artist name just beneath the image. It is presented under glass in a wood frame without hanging hardware.

Condition

- to fair; edges of paper are crumbling; image is toning; vertical crease down center and right of center; surface abrasion and tear in image left of center; tears along top of image; frame has wear around every edge; backing is coming loose; writing on verso.
